Happy Tuesday one and all! There is a new challenge starting over at Loves Rubberstamps today and this week we are challenging you to use your 'Ugly Papers'. You know the ones that there are two of left in your 6x6 paper pad because they are just not 'you'. For me these are the horizontal striped papers, I don't know what it is about them I'm just not fussed on them but diagonal stripes that my friend is a different matter! Love them. I'm so glad we got this challenge this week as it made me think again about these horizontal striped papers and look at them in a new 'angle'.

So to create my lovely diagonal stripe out of the horrid horizatal stripe I cut the 6x6 striped paper from MME- Ruby 6x6 papers in half on the diaganal and then cut again on the other side of the ruler. That left me with a strip of diaganal striped paper that I attached to the side of my card.
I then cut a panel of Neenah Solar White Card and stamped Lawn Fawn- Love You Tons elephants and sentiment using Momento 'Tuxedo Black'.
I coloured the elephants using Copic Markers (W1, W3, W5) and stamped the little heart in a red ink. Once coloured I went over the top of them using a Wink Of Stella pen and then covered with glossy accents.
Thank you so so much for popping by I can't wait to see what you come up with using your ugly papers.

Love your card Lydia. Probably not an 'ugly' paper to me but like you it probably wouldn't be an easy to use paper. Sometimes you just have to find the right place for it and you have done that with this lovely card. Gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteLove the image and I think that paper is not too 'ugly' but I can understand why it is hard to use. Have a great week. Hugs Nina
