This is my second post of the day so if you are looking for my PND post it's below this one :)
As it's the middle of the week there is a new Dazzling Diva challenge over at Add A Little Dazzle. Remember that we now have an option to use the fabulous image as inspiration or just do anything you what and go for the Anything Goes option. Here is this weeks theme....
I took inspiration from the soft colours, the wreath like nest, the eggs and also the rustic feel.
For the wreath I used the Spring Wreath die from Wplus9 and cut it out three times- the bottom layer from the silver side of a AALD sheet, the second from Brushed Bronze AALD metal (link to the AALD Boutique is in my sidebar) and the top layer is vellum to add softness.
The cute sentiment is from Mama Elephants 'Honey Bunny' stamp set, I just love the mixed fonts in this sentiment and the play on words is just so cute.
Ok.. now a little confession... I don't actully have any easter egg stamps in my stash ..eeek, I know it's something I will have to retify but I really wanted some eggs to put at the bottom of my wreath. So as I was unhappily putting all my stamps away as my Easter egg hunt went unrewarded my eyes fell on the little dinosaur egg on the Lawn Fawn set 'Critters From The Past'! Now that I could use :) I was one very happy bunny ... hehe. So I just stamped a few of the eggs and coloured with Copics before fussy cutting them out and placing in my layered wreath.
I then added a bow to the wreath using a little rustic button twine and a few sequins using the Mama Elephant 'Confetti Cuts' die with Brushed Bronze AALD craft Sheet (link to the AALD Boutique is in my sidebar) for a video on how to use the Confetti Cuts die with your AALD sheets please click here.
So for you chance to win a $15 AALD Store Voucher please link up your projects over on the Add A Little Dazzle Dazzling Diva Challenge. Remember you can use the gorgeous inspiration or just go Anything Goes. Also don't forget to check out my fellow teamies and take a peek at the gorgeous projects they came up with. Also also don't forget to stock up on the Add A Little Dazzle metal sheets from the store so you too can join me on the journey of metal crafting perfection.
Thanks for calling in!

Fabulous idea with the dinosaur eggs posing as Easter eggs. Would love to see the "chick" that emerges from these eggs. Hahhaha! I like this card, Lydia...it's so pretty. Hugs, Gail
ReplyDeleteLydia! Your projects are always so beautiful and creative! The dinosaur eggs are adorable and nicely colored. But...the wreath is really what stole the show for me! It is gorgeous! You're amazing.
