I have to admit that my favourite of the Distress Inks are the ones that aren't really distressed... the gorgeous bright and happy ones are the ones that I have become addicted to at the moment...... surely a sign that summer is gonna come, please pretty please.
To make this background I cut a piece of watercolour card that would completely cover the front of my card. Then I added 3 Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade) to my craft mat in stripes and spritzed water onto the ink.
I then layed the watercolour card into the ink pressed it down a little then lifted straight up ( after this there was still lots of ink left on my mat so I created other bckgrounds from it... don't waste it :) ). I waited for it to nearly dry and then helped it along with my heat tool.
I then stamped the sentiment from Wplus9 'Whole Lotta' Happy' and added paisleys from Wplus9 'Paisley Patterns' in my darkest black ink.
I added a Wink of Stella to the 'happy' and covered with glossy accents to create a bit of texture. A few drops of black enamel accents finished the look.
Thank you for calling round!
